Ideal machine for working alongside railway tracks
The road-rail suction excavator is the ideal tool for working alongside a railway track. The maintenance of railway tracks is often problematic and requires equipment which has been adapted to be able to travel on both road and rail. The road-rail suction excavator allows materials to be recovered which would not be possible with conventional tools.
Vehicle which can operate independently on both road and rail
The road-rail suction excavator can travel on either road or rail with equal ease. The vehicle travels normally by road to the site on its road wheels. When it arrives at a level crossing, it is positioned parallel to the rails. The driver then lowers jacks allowing the vehicle to come into contact with the rails. The suction excavator then turns into a maintenance vehicle which is particularly practical for carrying out standard or special tasks.
